Sweater dresses are perfect for winter if you like dresses and sweaters (since they’re a great combination of the two). They’re super comfortable and incredibly easy to style since they are actually an outfit on their own. Ones in solid colors are a great base for those printed scarves you’ve been wondering what to pair with and versions with prints can be worn on their own or in the two ways I styled them below.

With Over-the-Knee Boots

Over-the-knee boots are a great option for winter. They keep more of your legs warmer than the shorter versions and they always add a touch of elegance to an outfit. Of course they work wonderfully with sweater dresses. In this case I created a classic black and white outfit by pairing a black and white color block sweater dress with black over-the-knee boots and a black necklace.

Belted

Sweater dresses tend to be on the looser side which makes them incredibly comfortable and is great if that’s the look you want, but if you’re worried about your sweater dress appearing too baggy, you can always belt it. A wide belt at the waist helps to create more shape to the look and also works as a great accessory to add some more visual interest.
