It’s very uncommon for me to like a set of nail decals so much that I’ll wear them for the second time in a row (usually in a different way though), but every once in a while it happens. This was the case with these heart decals. They are quite simple and I think that was part of the appeal. I really liked the idea of pairing them with something more fun for Valentine’s Day themed manis. The result is the two manicures you see below.
Silver Version
This one is the simpler of the two and was really easy to create. It’s a standard manicure with a few nails becoming the statement nails (the ones with the heart decals) and the rest serving to show them off. In this case though, I chose a metallic silver for the remaining nails making them more interesting. It’s still a more subtle mani because of the matching colors, but it’s definitely not boring (I hope ;)).
If it speaks to you, I used:
China Glaze Strong Adhesion base coat, here
China Glaze Fast Forward top coat, here
Heart nail decals, I actually couldn’t find anything similar but there are some other heart decals here and here
Sally Hansen “Celeb City” nail polish, here
Red Crackle Version
I don’t know if any of you remember the crackle nail polishes that were really popular some years back. They were trendy for a while, but then the trend died down and they virtually disappeared from stores and nails. I still own a few colors though and while I haven’t worn them as much (this is the first time in the last year or so), I still like them quite a bit and think they’re a great way to add some more texture and pattern to a plain nail polish. I’m not saying that the red base I layered my white crackle polish over is plain, but I think it definitely makes the overall look more interesting.
If it speaks to you, I used:
China Glaze Strong Adhesion base coat, here
China Glaze Fast Forward top coat, here
Heart nail decals, I actually couldn’t find anything similar but there are some other heart decals here and here
Misa “Bikini with a Martini” nail polish, similar here
OPI “White Shatter” nail polish, I was only able to find it on eBay here
Thank you for reading. Be Kind. Be you.

February 14, 2019 at 7:49 pmBoth of these manicures look beautiful! I love how the silver nail polish looks next to the heart decals. And I can’t believe I forgot about crackle nail polish! That was something I used to love and it looks great with the red and pink. Happy Valentine’s Day!
