Sakura: Peach Sweater, White Vest and Jeans

Toronto does not provide the best climate for Sakura trees. In 1959, 2000 of these beautiful trees were presented as gifts to the city on behalf of Tokyo, Japan. Since then, they have continued to plant additional trees. The blossoms are very delicate and while they bloom for up to two weeks, the cold climate or a thunderstorm can knock down many of the blossoms. I believe this year they were only in full bloom for a day or two before 25%-50% of them were knocked down by a storm and I did not get the chance to see them in this time. The remaining blossoms are still lovely though and there are some late bloomers which is what you see behind me.

In response to the flowery background, I went with a white and peach outfit. The vest breaks the look up and provides a bit more visual interest. This is a simple look and the color scheme is pretty, feminine and really easy to wear.
