A nice warm long sleeved velvet dress under a faux leather jacket is about as light as I can bear in the current weather (and this was a warmer day too). The pretty floral embroidery across the top is another bonus and gives the dress enough detail to hold my interest without jewelry.

I wore this look for a rather busy day helping my parents pick out furniture and a nice long walk in a park. There I discovered snow that hadn’t yet melted due to the shade provided by the trees. It was quite a pretty sight actually. Snow and ice always seem so fragile when the weather finally warms up a bit and yet are persistent enough to take a while to melt, hiding in the darker shadier places…
