After the recent red rhinestone manicure I did here, I remembered how much I like the idea of rhinestones or crystals on my nails and decided to pull them out more often from now on. I’m not sure if you guys noticed, but I have phases where I’ll wear similar outfits and do similar nail looks for a while when I find or rediscover something I like and I just want to wear it all the time with some variations. So rhinestones and crystals are here to stay for a little while.
Unlike the red rhinestones I used for the watermelon manicure (which were acrylic), the ones I have attached to this manicure are glass. I also knew that the big ones would be a pain to keep on and I would probably end up losing some and having to replace them. But I liked the look so much, I went with it anyways. I believe the Swarovski version of these is called Volcano and is incredibly shiny and beautiful, but these are just glass so a lot more shiny than acrylic, but a lot less shiny than Swarovski. Plus I have a coat of topcoat on top of these which further decreases the shine (nail glue is the only thing that would keep them attached otherwise). They still have the dual shade thing going on though, which I love and which is the reason I went with some of the larger ones since I wanted to be able to see the shift better.
Thank you for reading. Be kind. Be you.
If it speaks to you, I used:
China Glaze Strong Adhesion base coat, here
China Glaze Fast Forward top coat, here
Floral French nail decals, as part of a set here
Glass volcano color crystals, similar but called ‘Bermuda’ here

I’m just like you, when I like something, I always want to use it over and over again. I loved your nails with these crystals, I don’t usually do nails so elaborate but I love to see. Happy weekend.
