This day marked the first time in a long time that I was able to walk around without some sort of jacket or warm vest outside. It was a perfect April day, a bit chilly but beautiful non-the-less. Unfortunately it snowed the day after, but you take what you can get and it was still wonderful to experience. The sun was out and so were the geese and I even started noticing some buds on some of the trees which means we’re going to start seeing some green soon (other than evergreens of course). This seemed like not just an ephemeral moment, but a promise of things to come. I love to watch what feels like things coming alive when the weather gets warmer and I feel like I come alive in the spring and summer right along with them. To me, this felt like the first day of spring at last…

So that sweater I was talking about is actually a white crochet piece that looks great on its own, over a tank top or in my case, over a turtleneck. I wanted some color in my whites here so the turtleneck I picked was a hot pink and black striped one. I balanced out the brighter colors at the top with black tall boots. Of course I couldn’t resist adding a statement necklace and making this look a whole lot less subtle (often the case for my style).
