I hope you’re enjoying your summer. Today, I’m sharing a video with outfits from different aesthetics. I can’t really attribute my style to a particular one so I thought this would be a fun video to make.
Video
60s – pink floral dress and black tights
I went for a more traditional flared pink dress for my 60s inspired outfit. I also added a pair of opaque tights since that was a common accessory in that time period.
Light academia – plaid skirt, lace tights and brown hat
I wore a lot of tan colors for my light academia outfit, adding a plaid skirt (a staple of the aesthetic) to bring everything together.
Beachy – maxi dress and leopard belt
A beachy aesthetic calls for a simple and comfy outfit that one might wear to the beach. My go to for that is usually a maxi dress.
90s – tie dye skirt, graphic tee and combat boots
A big part of the 90s aesthetic is casual grunge. Here I’m channeling that vibe with lace tights, a graphic tee and combat boots.
Pastel – lilac jeans and light blue floral top
The pastel aesthetic is an easy one to jump into because you pretty much just pair different pastel items together. Luckily, an outfit like that usually works no matter what items you choose.
Bohemian – pink corduroy pants, sheer floral top and bralette
The bohemian aesthetic involves flowy items with a bit of a vintage feel. I went for that here with my more vintage style pants and a top with flowy sleeves.
70s- brown velvet flared pants and black floral top
The 70s aesthetic is quite similar to the bohemian one. My go to for outfits like that is to pair a more vintage-looking pair of pants with a feminine top.
Dark academia – long plaid skirt, black top and wide belt
Plaid skirts are a staple of dark academia outfits just like light academia ones and I’m taking advantage of that fact here by pairing by darker plaid skirt with black pieces.
Cottagecore – grey chiffon dress and straw hat
The cottagecore aesthetic pairs light and flowy items with more outdoorsy ones. Here I’m doing that by pairing a light-weight chiffon dress with a more outdoorsy straw hat.
Thank you for reading/watching. Be you. Always.
