So the holiday season is upon us and I hope you’re enjoying it! In case you’re looking for some ideas on what to wear, this post and video is here for you. I share 7 outfits that work for casual settings and more dressy occasions as well as 3 sets of holiday nails in case you’re looking for some ideas for your Christmas or New Year manicure. I hope you enjoy it and happy holidays!

Long Skirt and Sheer Top
I find long skirts dressier than short ones; especially when they have a bit of shimmer and pleats. In this case I’m using that fact to create an outfit in one of my favorite color combinations; red and black. I pair the dressy skirt with a sheer red floral top and match that with red ankle boots.
New Year’s Nails
Black and gold seem to have become the New Year’s colors and so I used that color combination for this manicure. Here I paired these New Year themed decals with white textured polish and added a bit of extra sparkle (as my husband suggested) with a bit of gold. I was going for a snowy look on my white nails.
The Gown
Of course if you have any more formal events or just want to dress up a bit more, a pretty gown is always a great idea. Here I’m wearing a long floral black and pink version and paring it with a pair of black over-the-knee boots to add a bit of warmth to the outfit. For a black-tie affair, you’ll probably want to wear heels or dressier flats though…
Black and Grey and Sparkle
This outfit uses the same skirt I wore in the first look, but this time the color combination is black and grey. Since both colors are neutral, they work well together and create a cohesive look. In this case I echoed the black in of my skirt with a black blazer and black sparkly boots to add a bit more drama to the look. And I echoed the grey stripes in the top with a grey belt.
Christmas Ornament Manicure
This manicure is pretty simple and basically involved a set of fun Christmas ornament decals that I dressed up a bit with silver foil on the ends of my nails. I thought it gave the manicure a frosty or snowy look that felt appropriate for the winter holidays.
Monochrome Blue
A monochrome outfit is fairly easy to put together and always works well. In this case I went for a monochrome blue look with a blue dress, bomber jacket and boots. The fact that the dress is velvet makes the look a bit dressier and definitely warms it up, which is always a plus as far as I’m concerned.
Sequin Dress
I couldn’t have a holiday style post/video without my favorite sequins! The easiest way to wear sequins for the holidays is by wearing a sequin dress, which is what I did here. But since it is winter, I wanted to make the look cozier by adding a soft brown teddy cardigan to warm up the dress and matched it with brown boots.
Sequin Skirt
If anything screams holidays, it’s certainly sequins! That’s why I have yet another sequin look for you here, but this time with a sequin skirt. Here I let the skirt be the statement piece and kept the rest of the outfit neutral with a black sweater, beige scarf, beige-green boots and rose gold puffer coat.
One Dressy Piece
Here I’m wearing that same sequin skirt I wore in the previous look, but this time it really is the only dressy piece in the look with the rest of the outfit being all about cozy warmth. This is a great option if the occasion you’re going for is not very formal, but you still want to dress up just a bit.
Santa Christmas Nails
And last, but not least, we have another Christmas manicure. This one has Santa and reindeer decals with red and green tones. I then matched those colors with a red-toned berry polish and green Swarovski crystals to spice things up a bit.
Thank you for reading/watching. Be you. Always.

December 22, 2019 at 5:37 pmThese are all great festive outfits. I like how you mix casual pieces with more dressed up items, it creates perfect holiday outfits for those occasions that aren’t too formal. I really like the first look with the pleated skirt and a top. The second outfit with a long dress is perfect for formal occasions. I also really like all the sequins looks. The sequined mini looks fab in both version and the sequin dress looks great with cozy items. The all blue outfit is very pretty as well.

December 22, 2019 at 8:21 pmI love the sequins and I agree with the advice in your video – if you have nothing to dress up for, make anything a reason to get dressed up! It’s always nice to feel our best! 🙂 You’re so talented with your nails too, such fun designs! I just decided on my Christmas nails yesterday, yey! Hoping I get time today to paint them!
Hope that you’re having a great weekend 🙂 We are so excited for Christmas here! 🙂
