I feel like autumn is a great time to wear gold hues from citrine to mustard and even golden brown. And black is a great color to offset these bright tones and make them feel even more golden. Black is usually my go-to color for clothing and one of the reasons for that is that it really helps bring bright colors to life when they are contrasted against the color that represents the lack of all colors.

As for the vampire husband bit, well, finally the secret is out. Really though, it was a joke we started while taking these photos. Seeing the highly reflective wall, I thought it would be a fun place to take photos and the first few we tried were actually not for the blog but just us having fun playing with our reflections. Except that when we looked at the photos afterwards, my reflection was there and his wasn’t. It was the strangest thing. There we were looking at his reflection on the wall and he was completely missing from the photos we took of that reflection. Since he had been taking the photos we think it was probably a trick of the light and something to do with complicated refraction/reflection angles. But it could also be the much simpler explanation of him being a vampire. I’m monitoring the situation and I’ll let you know if I discover any more vampiric traits 🙂
