Animal prints are a big trend for the fall and winter seasons and have been for several years now. So I thought it was a good time for me to do a post and video on several ways to wear animal prints (five be precise). Hopefully this will give you some ideas for styling your animal pieces if you picked up any new ones this season or have some pieces already in your closet that you are looking for some new styling ideas for.

With Brown

Since leopard print has brown (at least brown leopard print), a good way to wear leopard is with that color. Here I’m doing just that by wearing my floral leopard print top and ankle boots with a brown pair of pants. The blue in the top is then echoed by my blue chambray shirt.

With Denim

Since animal print makes a statement, an easy way to wear it is by letting it do just that. Here I kept my outfit very casual with a distressed pair of jeans and hoody and let my animal print ankle boots be the statement piece that makes this look a little bit more interesting

With Plaid

I’ve already worn plaid with animal print here (in fact I think it was the very same combination on top). Since this particular plaid blazer is in neutral colors, I thought it worked well with the fairly neutral color palette of my leopard print top. I then added a bit more color with my burgundy faux leather leggings and a bit more edge with my black combat boots (that I wore for most of the day since I didn’t spend it on the pier).

With a Graphic Tee

This is a super casual local I wore for a hike. Here I’m pairing a very comfortable pair of gray leopard print leggings with a casual graphic tee. I then echoed the pink tones in my graphic tee with a plaid shirt that has some pink in it. I kept my footwear super comfy with a pair of black running shoes.

With Red

If you want to make more of a statement with your animal print piece, you can always wear it with a bright color like red. Here I’m letting my red skirt be the pop of color in the outfit and keeping the rest of the pieces within the beige/brown color family.
