There’s no need to be cold for those holiday parties even if you do want to wear a dress. A sweater dress in a festive color (or any color) is the best of both worlds; it’s a dress and it’s very cozy. And it’s perfect for layering with fun options like a faux fur vest, a cute pair of boots and some tights or leggings underneath for that extra layer of warmth.
If you go with a sweater dress in a solid color, you can always spice it up with a fun statement necklace. Sweater dresses in solid colors are surprisingly easy to accessorize. I found that even a bolder statement color like the burgundy I’m wearing went with almost all the statement necklaces (and actually, almost all the jewelry) I own so don’t be afraid to go for something more festive.
