Sometimes one piece in your outfit does most of the talking, which is the case when you have a statement maxi skirt. A printed maxi skirt may look like a challenging item to style in cold weather, but there’s a really easy way to go about doing this. All you need is a neutral turtleneck that you will then tuck into the skirt. It’s a two-step process and you’re good to go. A neutral turtleneck will work with pretty much any print you can think of.
This is actually a great outfit for holiday parties. If you’re feeling more playful or want to make the look a bit more festive, you can always add a statement necklace to the mix. The turtleneck makes a great base and it will go with almost any necklace.
Thank you for reading. Be kind. Be you.

December 12, 2018 at 11:00 amWhat a fun maxi skirt! I love the black top and statement necklace with it, really lets the skirt shine! I’ve tried something similar to this before and didn’t like the resulting outfit, I’ll need to try it again in cooler weather but add a statement necklace this time! 🙂
Hope that your week is going well so far 🙂 It’s my last day at work tomorrow before the Christmas holidays and I am so excited! 🙂

December 12, 2018 at 9:01 pmHello Kath
I m back, I explain everything on the blog.
Kath I must say to you, you look beautiful with that skirt and these are the most beautiful photos I ever see on your blog.
I dont like that kind of sweater because my neck is too short. But it works perfectly with the maxi skirt.
Big hug sweetie.

December 26, 2018 at 7:45 pmWhat a gorgeous statements skirt you have there. You’re right, sometimes a clothing item is a bit louder, then it is best to keep the rest of the outfit simple- or find something that matches it. This is a beautiful skirt. You have styled it so well!!!
