Leopard and plaid are two very big trends this fall so why not wear them together? Leopard might seem like a more difficult statement to pull off, but it’s actually made up of neutral tones so that makes it much closer to a neutral (if you’re looking for more ideas on wearing animal prints, I have another post on that here). Plaid can be a brighter print, but it also frequently exists in shades of grey, beige or in black. And in those shades, plaid is also pretty close to a neutral, which makes leopard and plaid a great pairing.
An easy way to put this outfit together is by pairing a leopard print top with a plaid blazer in neutral tones. The colors work quite well together and pull what might feel like contradictory prints into a cohesive look. A pairing like this works well with neutral pants, jeans or a denim mini skirt. In the outfit here, I also added a pair of leopard tights for a bit of fun, but those are entirely optional. A pair of boots completes the look.
