From the title, you’ve probably figured out that I’m going to talk about a summer accessory and you’d be right (shocking, I know). In any case, other than wonderful pieces like earrings, bracelets, necklaces and even gloves, a great thing to grab in order to complete an outfit is a fun summer hat.

As with most things in fashion, there are a great many options when it comes to this. A hat also serves double duty by providing protection from the sun which means that it has a purpose other than looking pretty (not that there’s anything wrong with just looking pretty of course). The one you choose really depends on what you like to wear (aka your personal style), but I tend to go with options that have some unique element. Hence my choice of this short-brimmed straw hat with the polka dot tulle. It was just the right piece to complete my look and keep the sun off my face.
