My husband and I took a walk in a park that’s within a small community not too far from us and to our shock and delight, we saw a deer. In a city park. We couldn’t believe our eyes. They are not that common a sight even when one goes hiking outside the city, but to see one is a city park was pretty incredible. We stood and watched it for a bit, but not wanting to make it too nervous, we didn’t attempt to get closer so the only photos I have were taken from quite a distance away.
On that particular day, we had a heat alert so I dressed in comfy loose clothing. The red top is made of cotton and has romantic sleeves (a characteristic my fondness of which I talked about here). And the black trim was just asking to be paired with something black down below which is where my black tulle skirt came in to complete the look. Both pieces are loose and airy so I didn’t feel hot at all as we strolled around. This is one of these romantic slightly boho looks that are perfect for summer weather.

We see a surprisingly large number of deer in the park near our place, even though it’s smack dab in the middle of a big city. But the park feels very removed from civilization and maybe that’s why they thrive down there. 🙂
