Here I’m wearing an asymmetric velvet dress with an open front situation. At first glance it might seem like an item like that is kind of ridiculous and impractical, but I’ve actually found it to be the opposite. I find that the fact that I can pretty much wear any crop top or tank top underneath this dress (the fact that it’s black really helps here) means that it can be styled in a hundred different ways without ever having to repeat a look. I took full advantage of that by styling it with a silver metallic tank top. I think it gave the dress a touch of elegance and I loved how well it worked with my black choker and black and white faux fur jacket. It’s not an overly subtle look, nor is it an especially loud one.

While these photos were taken just over a week ago, there’s currently a snow storm right outside my window and although it looks really pretty, I’m wishing for spring weather. At leas the days are already longer and the sun is brighter which makes everything feel more cheerful even if it’s still cold…
