These photos were taken a few weeks ago during a relatively sunny day (still around zero of course). There is a rather lovely park maybe 20 mins from where I live with a pond and some trees. I think the trail that goes around the pond can be walked in around an hour, but it has that pretty untouched nature look that I love.

I always found plaid to have a bit of a rock-n-roll vibe (which I love) and so always enjoy incorporating it into my looks. I paired this red and black plaid scarf with the bright red sweater and navy jeans for a casual vibe. And then I wanted some more texture so I used the red color family to add over-the-knee boots and a faux fur vest in darker burgundy shades. There are a lot of reds in this outfit. Can you tell I like the color in all its incarnations?

On an amusing side note (perhaps only for me), looking at the photos after, it’s a bit strange how my hair is almost the color of the vest in the sun. I thought it was much closer to brown actually …We live and we learn…
