I hope you’re well and since it’s almost November, it’s time for the November bullet journal setup.
I’m trying something a bit different in terms of my filming and editing style this month. Let me know what you think.
I’m also using a black notebook for the first time this month. It’s quite thin and will only be enough for November, but I wanted to try it out before I commit. I have mixed feelings about it so far, since the black paper is hard to get used to.

Tree in lightbulb spread
I made the heading gold since it went with the theme and color scheme I wanted to have for November. For November, I wanted to try drawing for the first time in many years. I doodled a bit in my journal before, but they were really simple doodles so this is quite a challenge for me.
I wanted things to pop against the black paper so I used white marker for the lightbulb. I also added a few shards around the lightbulb to make it look like it was broken recently. I used a rust metallic marker for the tree trunk and kept it to an outline because I wanted the leaves to be the main focus of the spread. I used some metallic watercolors for the leaves. I just dabbed the different colors where they felt right trying to remember what fall foliage normally looks like.
Blue and white spread
I was going to continue the theme in some of the other spreads in my setup, but then I realized that the paper did not hold up well to watercolor and buckled a lot. I didn’t want to ruin the rest of my spreads, so I kept things to my usual scrapbook style. Here I’m using somewhat unusual fall scrapbooking paper that I also got recently. It has the usual fall leaves and pumpkins, but they’re blue and white rather than orange or brown. I really like the lighter colors. I wanted to add a bit of a vintage feel so I stamped some text all over the spread.
Gold pumpkin spread
This is a simple spread with some scrapbooking paper and stickers. I like that this spread ended up with a somewhat white and gold theme.
Thank you for reading/watching. Be you. Always.

The dark paper might be hard to get used to but it makes for a cool contrast.
Great journaling.

October 26, 2020 at 9:37 pmI love the layout with the dark paper – It will be interesting to see if you keep using it after the month is over, but it really makes the colours pop! I like seeing how creative you are with your journal layouts 🙂
Hope that your week is off to a good start 🙂
