This time I’m sharing how I put together all my August spreads. My last setup video for July only included the first week, but here I’m sharing all of my spreads (although there are only 3 weeks since I’m going to be spending some quality time with my parents in nature for a week). In total, my August bujo setup is 19 spreads!
This month I tried to go for more spreads with summer vibes with themes like the ocean, fruit, sun, etc.

First Spread of the Month and Looking Forward to Spread
I actually really liked how this spread came together. I started with the calendar since I put that together earlier and printed it out and I also knew I wanted to use white glittery letter for “August.” Other than that, I sort of stumbled onto a green theme and so the scrapbooking paper I used to make my white letters stand out, the photo, the sparkly paper and the stickers were all in service of that. The final touch was a bit green iridescent paint over the lemon calendar for a bit of extra shine.
Best of the Month Spread
For this spread, I went with an ocean theme (sort of). The seahorse paper and beach photo are ocean-themed and the rest of the spread is just blue-themed. To that end, I added some blue washi tape and some blue butterflies.
Schedule Spread
This is a new spread for me, but I thought it would be useful. Here I actually had a bit of plan in the sense that I knew I wanted to use the red polka dot scrapbooking paper and the red crane washi tape to match. The rest of the spread I put together with black and white elements because they’re fairly neutral and went with the more intense red color.
Tracker Spread 1
This is my least favorite out of my August spreads. It just didn’t look like how it did in my head, but I tried to fix it and make it more interesting by adding my favorite black and gold starry washi tape, a few gold stickers and some star doodle.
Habit Tracker Spread
This is my habit tracker spread (or rather general tracker). I ended up with a green theme again because I made a mistake and ended up covering it up with green paper. The rest of the elements include a green photo, some more green paper for the headings, green forest and leaf washi tape and some forest themed stickers.
Goals and Review Spread
I went with a pink and blue theme for this spread because those are the colors in the paper I used for the bottom of my spread. To match those colors and make things more interesting, I used a few pieces of blue paper and pink tissue paper. I also ended up adding a few black butterfly stickers because I felt that something was missing.
Accomplishments Spread
This is another new spread for me, but I’m trying to be more positive so I thought this spread would help. I thought the “create things” phrase went well with that idea. I added a lot of neutral elements including some brick patterned paper, some brown kraft paper and a few black flower stickers. To add a bit more sparkle, I added some gold splatters and a bit of gold paint all around my spread.
Green and Black Spread
This is actually one of my favorite spreads of the month despite how simple it is. I started with dark green paper with a vintage fantasy floral design. I then added more green and black elements including some black paper, a black flower sticker and my favorite black and gold washi tape. I also added a touch of gold with a gold flower just for a bit of extra drama. I also created black and green headings to match.
Blue Pineapple Butterfly Spread
I added some pineapples here because I wanted to use more fruit in my August setup because it felt very summery to me. Since the pineapples are blue, I went with a blue theme. I added blue metallic paper, a mostly blue butterfly photo, a blue quote image as well as butterfly stickers. I still though that something was missing though, so I added a few leaf doodles.
Flower Starry Spread
I started this spread with the black and white flower and added a bit of starry paper. I then matched the dark purple and black colors in the spread with my headings and the starry theme with some star doodles. I added a few purple stickers to make things a bit more interesting.
Rainbow Butterfly Spread
I don’t usually do spreads with this many colors, but the flower image was so colorful that it inspired me to go for a more rainbow theme. For that purpose, I used some colorful butterflies and multicolored headings and filled in the gaps with a bit of flower and gold washi tape.
Dark Star Themed Spread
This is another spread I’m not a big fan of. I think maybe it’s just a bit too dark. In any case, I went with a few star themed photos and continued the starry theme with a star themed quote, moon stickers, starry washi tape and star doodles.
Green and Yellow Spread
This was another really simple spread that ended up being one of my favorites. I started with the bright flower design on the right. I then added a few stickers to make things more interesting. I finished things off with gold heading and a few green leaf doodles to match the rest of the colors in the spread.
Cheetah Spread
I sort of planned out this spread in advance. I stumbled upon these butterfly stickers that looked like they had a cheetah print. That’s where the idea for this spread was born and I printed out a cheetah image on orange construction paper to match. The “be wild & free” quote also matched the theme of the spread and I added a bit of gold and black washi tape to make things more interesting.
Pink and Blue Flower Spread
I started with the pink and blue quote and since the quote has the word “flowers” in it, I added some more floral elements like the pink flower photo and some pink flower washi tape. I also added a bit of gold for more sparkle and a bit of pink tissue paper for that scrapbook feel.
Blue Umbrella Spread
I went with a blue theme here again and used some blue scrapbooking paper, blue washi tape and some blue botanical stickers. I also added a black and white umbrella (or parasol) just because I thought it was cute and neutral enough to go with any theme (including this one).
Swan and Flower Spread
This is another spread that came together really quickly and yet is one of my favorites. I knew I wanted to use the swan paper and the quote and the rest of the items I chose because they matched the color scheme. I used a bit of kraft paper, a bit of gold washi tape, a few gold flowers, a flower photo and gold headings.
Sun Spread
I went with the orange sun because it felt very summery to me. I matched the orange color with an orange feather. I added a bit of contrast to the orange, I added black paper. I also really like the idea of a sun and star theme so I added some gold stars around the sun and matched the black and gold colors with black and gold headings.
Sea Shell Spread
I went with a sea shell theme for this spread. I cut out black and white sea shell images and placed them on a blue fish scale background to help them stand out. I also used washi tape for my headings because it makes them more interesting and it’s an easy way to do so (it was my last spread and I was tired). The last thing I did was add a bit of sparkle with some iridescent paint over the shells.
Thank you for reading/watching. Be you. Always.
