It’s almost time for October and fall is definitely upon us now with Halloween and Thanksgiving not far behind. I was definitely heavily influenced by these with this October bullet journal setup.
You may also notice a bunch of new self-care spreads in this setup. As I’m writing this, I haven’t yet had time to try them out so I don’t know if I’ll like them, but I’m hoping that they will help me develop a more positive mindset since that’s something I definitely struggle with. I did decide to forgo the tracker spreads though because filling them out has been such a chore and I just don’t do a very good job of keeping up with them. Also, I tend to attempt to put too many new habits on them and it just makes me feel like a failure when I put and x instead of a checkmark next to so many habits.

First spread of the month and looking forward to spread
This spread is definitely very Halloween-themed. I kept it black and white, which is not something I do very often, but I thought it went well with the theme. I added a bunch of black and white photos and other stationary to decorate.
Best of the month spread
I used a lot of fall colors for this spread. The focal point is definitely the photo is orange tones and I added a bunch of scraps of scrapbooking paper that I had left over.
Black and white spread 2
I used a lot of the same elements for this spread that I used for my first October spread just because I really liked how they all looked together. I kept it black and white and Halloween themed.
Symmetrical spread
I don’t usually create symmetrical spreads, but sometimes I like to switch things up and try something different. I used a lot of washi tape here and kept the colors mostly fall-themed.
Red and black spread
I used geometric and floral scrapbooking paper here because I really liked the contrast that these very different patterns create when used close together. The rest of the spread has some more Halloween themed stationary in matching black and red colors.
Black and white witch spread
This is actually a really simple spread. I pretty much just grabbed the photo and matched the rest of the spread to that.
Fall spread
This is another fall themed spread. I left a lot of blank space here to force myself to write more. I really hate leaving blank space in my journal so I try to leave more space for myself for spreads I want to force myself to write more for.
Magic themed spread
This is a magic themed spread. It sort of ties into the Halloween theme, but less than some of the other spreads I’ve been doing lately. I still really liked it though since I’m a big fan of magic and fantasy.
Fox spread
This is one of my favorite spreads out of my October setup. It might have more to do with the cute fox photo than the spread itself though, but I do really like how it came together.
Tree spread
This ended up being a really busy spread and I ended up without much space to write here. I don’t mind though, because I really like how the spread came together and I’m going to enjoy filling it up.
Pink and brown fall spread
This is yet another self-care spread for October. I’m using quite a bit more of them this month because I found the ones I was using so far pretty helpful and I know that if I go to the trouble of decorating a spread, I’m actually going to use it.
Fall trees and stars spread
This spread is actually based off a spread I created in June, but I liked it so much that I decided to recreate it in a fall theme. I added some washi tape to decorate the top and bottom and created a collage on the right.
Writing spread
This is another really simple spread, but surprisingly, one of my favorites. I used some scrapbooking paper with old-looking writing on it and added some Halloween themed stickers. I added headings in black and gold and then I stared at the spread wondering if I should add anything. In the end, I decided to keep it as is.
Brown and gold spread
I was getting pretty tired when I was putting together this spread. I didn’t layer things much here, but rather used some gold stickers on top of brown scrapbooking paper. I did spice things up a little with some sparkly gold paper.
Thank you for reading/watching. Be you. Always.
