I’ve always thought the 1970s had some fun trends so I thought I’d make a 70s style lookbook video. Now these are definitely more modern 70s outfits (or 70s inspired) since I just didn’t have enough purely 70s clothes for a full vintage lookbook.
I really hope you like this video and that your summer is going well so far 🙂

Flared Jeans and Sunflower Top
Flared jeans and crop tops paired together make for a very 70s inspired outfit. I especially like to wear my crop tops with high waist pants to give myself some more coverage I also think that a form-fitting top helps to balance out the bulk at the bottom of a flared pair of pants.
Flared Jeans and Black Top
I paired my flared jeans with a black tee with lace trim. The lace stopped at just the right point to show the high waist silhouette of the jeans. I finished off the look with a bracelet in a matching dark color and a long necklace.
Lemon Kimono
This outfit is more loosely 70s inspired, but it definitely has bohemian vibes. I paired a lemon kimono with a pair of pearl denim shorts and a white sequin top. I liked how the white pearls on the denim shorts matched the white in the top and kimono.
Pearl Shorts and Snakeprint Boots
This is another more boho type outfit, but I thought that the print of the top as well as the denim and ankle boots still gave a bit of a 1970s vibe. In any case, here I went with a black and white top in a paisley print and did a bit of pattern mixing by pairing that with a pair of snake print boots. Since the prints are in the same color family, they work well together.
Flared Pants and Lace Top
In this look I paired a pair of flared brown pants with a pink lace top. I really like the combination of pink and brown together. I added a brown crop top (too cropped for me to wear alone) under my lace shirt to match the pants and a crystal necklace to add a bit of sparkle.
Brown Flared Pants and Blue Top
Here I paired brown flared pants with a floral top. The loose flowy top felt great in the summer and the warm tones in the floral print paired well with the warm brown of the pants. This was a pretty simple look.
Denim Skirt, Scarf and Brown Fringe Cardigan
This outfit is definitely quite busy, but I liked how it came together and I kept all the clothes within 2 colors to tie everything together. Here I’m wearing a denim skirt with a blue top to match the blue and 3 brown pieces that also work well together including a fringe cardigan, a star scarf and a pair of ankle boots.
Denim Skirt and Red Long Sleeve Top
Long sleeve tops work well with shorter skirts if you want more coverage or if some extra warmth to offset the bare legs. In this case I went with a long sleeve top in a rust-red color and added some accessories for some extra drama. The warm tones in the necklace and the red flowers in the belt match the red of the top.
Burgundy Flared Pants and Leopard Top
This is a really simple outfit, but it was fun anyways since the print in the top and more dramatic burgundy flared pants keep it from being boring. I’ve actually always like the combination of leopard print and burgundy.
Long Sleeve Dress and Wide Belt
I wear a lot of dresses in the summer and one way to accessorize a dress is with a belt. Since the dress I’m wearing here has some brown tones, I went with a brown belt and matched it with a pair of brown ankle boots.
White Flared Pants and Red Top
White is a great color to make other colors pop. Here, I paired it with a red floral top and I think the white pants are a great neutral base for the brighter piece.
Pink Floral Maxi Dress and Tassel Earrings
This outfit is a monochrome pink look (not a color I usually wear as a monochrome outfit, but I liked it). Here, I paired my long flowy maxi dress with a pair of pink tassel earrings for a rather girly outfit.
Thank you for reading/watching. Be you. Always.
