This is the last of my backlog of outfits from when it was still cooler out. I was hoping to get this post out some time ago, but hopefully you still like it. Plus maybe some of you are experiencing colder weather right now so you’re wearing something similar.
I seem to be sharing a lot of outfits that go with current trends lately. I wear other things, I swear. I just want to give you some ideas of styling the items that are everywhere right now in case you got temped into picking some of them up and are looking for some ideas on how to style them. This post is no exception. Rust browns/reds, copper/caramel and various shades of mustard/turmeric are big this season and I’m going to share two ways in which I styled rust.
With White
I feel like I haven’t seen this paring much, but I think it’s lovely. I love how the crispness of a white item really brings out the strong warm tones in a rust-colored piece. White is an easy to color to pair with anything (with some of my outfits with it here, here, here and here), but I really like paring it with brighter colors because I think that it really helps them shine.

With Olive
I hope you’re not tired of these olive pants yet because I’m probably going to share quite a few more outfits that feature them. Olive is another trendy color that I’ve worn a lot lately (like here, here, here and here). I’ve already paired it with quite a few colors, but rust is one of my favorites. This top is a different shade of rust from the cardigan in the first look (a more yellow toned color that could be interpreted as turmeric) and I think that’s great for this outfit because it picks up the warm tones in olive better. That’s why I kept going with the warm-toned theme by paring these two pieces with brown boots.

July 12, 2019 at 4:55 pmLOL! I live in Texas and it’s currently 95F/35C and I look like that every time I go grocery shopping or out to eat. I love rust but just don’t have that much of it. The color is great on you and I especially love it with the white pants and cropped top. The velvet top is just gorgeous!

July 14, 2019 at 11:17 pmBoth ways you styled rust are beautiful! Rust has become one of my favorite colors to wear and I think it works great for both colder and warmer weather. Pairing it with white is a great idea and it’s not something I have seen a lot of people do. And I’m definitely not tired of those olive pants because they look great every time you style them!
