A white nail polish that is chalk white is something that people tend to avoid. Brands are often frowned upon for creating such colors and they are often only purchased to be used as a base for something else.

The white nail polish you see in this manicure embraced the often frowned upon idea wholeheartedly. It’s a plain matte white that looks just like chalk. And I love it.

I’ve always liked crisp white colors. Not to say that I don’t like all the fun variations on white with grey, blue, pink, etc. undertones or a pearly sheen, but you just can’t beat the crispness of a plain chalky white. And due to its simplicity, it can be paired with any nail art or decals like the fun clock ones I used here.
