Polar Bear Style Yellow Neon Sunflower Nails

The Trick to Neon Nail Polish

Neon nail polish is almost a summer staple (although it’s fun to wear in the winter as well). Unfortunately, applying neon nail polish often requires a very large number of coats. While I do own a few colors that are good to go in 2, most of them require 5 coats or more. This is not as terrible as it sounds since neon nail polish does dry quickly, but if you want to cut down this time and make the polish pop more, there is a shortcut. It’s as easy as painting a white base underneath your neon color. Following this, you’re usually done in 1-2 coats.

I don’t always use this trick because I sometimes like my neon manicure to be somewhat transparent, but it’s good to have options. And now you know and don’t have to curse the polish if you don’t want the transparent look.
