It’s time for the January bullet journal setup. It’s another more doodle heavy month for me and this time the theme is pine trees. That’s why I ended up with a green theme.
Video
First spread
I went for a simple pine tree theme for January because pine tree always make me think of winter. That was also how I ended up with a green theme.
Calendar
This is my first time doing a large calendar. To make things easier, I used green paper dots to arrange things before gluing them down.
Mood tracker
I continued my pine tree theme with my mood tacker, adding the dates to the trunks. I also added my first quote spread on the right. The quote felt fitting since January is the first month of the year so it’s a great time to take control.
Goals/review spread
This is the spread I liked the least from my January setup because it just turned out too plain. Despite staring at it for a while, I couldn’t figure out how to fix it so I just left it as is. Any ideas? 🙂
Health/mood review spread
This is another simple spread with pine tree doodles on the sides. Originally the trees were supposed to be ombre, but I didn’t test the colors in advance and didn’t realize that they were too similar to make that happen.
Inspired by/brain dump
This is another simple spread that I decorated with a larger pine tree in the middle and some forest themed washi tape and stickers. Despite how simple it is, I really liked how this came out.
Best of the month spread
This time I went for a pine tree on each side of the spread. It’s quite similar to my other spreads though in the way I decorated it (with forest themed washi tape).
Pine tree footer spread
Here I moved the pine trees to the bottom of the spread and varied the colors a bit more. I like the forest-like effect this created. And again, I used some forest themed washi tape here to underline the headings.
Scrapbook spread
This spread is much closer to the scrapbook style spreads I used to do more often, but for some reason didn’t feel like doing for this setup as much. It’s very busy with a whole bunch of photos, metallic paper, tissue paper, stickers and washi tape.
Last spread
This was the last spread of my January setup. I continued the pine tree theme here by adding them to the top of the spread. I then used some winter themed washi tape to decorate the spread a bit more.
I really hope that you enjoyed this post and journal with me video. Have a wonderful December and January. Merry Christmas and happy New Year!
Thank you for reading/watching. Be you. Always.
