I’ve been seeing polka dots a lot lately and it made me nostalgic enough to pull out my own. I’ve always liked polka dots. Something about the print felt a bit retro and cute, but in an elegant way.

This top has always been one I love to wear. In fact I liked the style so much that I actually bought it in another pattern. I love the sheer fabric and the fun print on the black background. Even more though, I love the style. The voluminous sleeves are really fun to wear and give the top a boost of femininity.

Because it’s such a delicate light piece, I decided to offset it just a bit with black lace tights and light denim shorts. The lace trim of the shorts and the dove grey color of the over-the-knee boots still keep things quite feminine though.
