I’ve really gotten into this bullet journaling thing so I’m sharing my July setup and the spreads for my first week of the month. Just like for June, I wanted to get this up earlier in case you were looking for some ideas and so that I had everything ready for July when it comes 🙂

 

For the month of July, I generally went with a fantasy theme for a lot of my bujo spreads. I did try to keep to it when I felt like it, but I didn’t force it. Still, many of my spreads are fantasy/dreamy themed.

First Spread of the Month and Looking Forward to Spread

I’m not going to lie, I didn’t enjoy how this turned out all that much, but I was ok with it. I also didn’t realize that I didn’t fold the page well so you can see creases. Oh well…For this I started with the swan picture to which I added “July.” I also used a floral wreath calendar since I liked it so much last month. I added a bit of blue iridescent sparkly paint to my swans and a bit of silver paint to the side to make things more sparkly. Because I wanted to add more color, I also added some green scrapbooking paper for the background and a bit of fantasy themed washi tape. The final touches were a few blue and silver stars.

 

 

 

 

Goals and Review Spread

The blue theme sort of snuck up on me for this spread. I started with the castle and since I wanted to add a background to it, I used blue scrapbooking paper. I added a blue fantasy themed piece of washi with the dreamy castle to the top right corner and painted the printed castle image with a glittery iridescent blue paint to match. I matched this with more blue washi tape. I finished off the spread with some blue stickers to match all the other blue elements.

 

 

 

Best of the Month Spread

This spread was a learning experience for me since it made me realize that I don’t want to use watercolor in my bullet journal (at least in the current cheap notebook I’m using for my journal). The problem was that it wrinkled the pages too much and the paint just didn’t behave in the way I wanted it to. I did end up liking the result in the end, just not all that much. I kept to the fantasy theme here too with a fairy picture and some more fantasy themed washi tape with a crane. I also used more red washi tape with cranes to match. Finally, I matched the black and white fairy picture with a black and white flower and the gold in the washi tape with a gold flower.

 

 

 

 

 

Habit Tracker Spread

I went with a black and purple theme with a bit of gold for more sparkle. I based this spread around the black brick scrapbooking paper and the purple dreamy moth image. I added some of my favorite black and gold star and moon washi tape as well as a bit of purple washi tape and a purple sticker to fill in the  empty space.

 

 

 

 

Blue Flower and Forest Spread

This is actually my favorite spread of the month so far. This time I built my spread around my blue scrapbooking paper. To match the light colors, I used dreamy washi tape with a forest and deer theme on the right and another washi tape from the same set on the left. I also added a silver moon and some silver paint splatters to add a bit of subtle sparkle and a red flower sticker to add a bit of contrast.

 

 

 

 

Mermaid Fairy Spread

I started with the mermaid paper for this spread and added a fantasy themed black and white image. To make things more interesting I added silver metallic mirror finish paper. I thought it was light enough not to take away from the other light images, but fun enough to make the spread more interesting.

 

 

 

 

Fantasy Themed Spread with Washi Tape

I started with the fantasy themed leafy divider that I used at the top here. As usual, I added a bit of color with some green scrapbooking paper (the same paper I used to start the month). I also used three pieces of fantasy themed washi tape to add more fantasy elements to it and to match the divider. I finished things off with a black moon sticker and some black and white botanical stickers to match the black and white in the spread.
