Ah teddy coats; I’ve been seeing a lot of these this year, but I’ve actually had this pink one for at least two years (maybe longer). While I love how soft and cozy it is, pink is not a color I wear very often, but as it happened, I felt that today it was the perfect way to soften my outfit. This time of year, a jacket is a pretty crucial part of an outfit and the kind of jacket picked defines that whole feel of an outfit. For instance, if I had worn a jean jacket, the look would have come out as more casual, if I had worn a trench coat, more elegant, and if I had worn a leather jacket (especially if it was black), more edgy. But I decided on a pink teddy jacket, which makes the look more feminine and soft. Other than that, I paired a leather pencil skirt (I love this variation of the simple black skirt – just as versatile, but more fun) with a crop top with flared sleeves. I finished everything off with black over-the-knee boots and black leggings for warmth to create a mostly black outfit (another reason I felt like adding a pop of color with my coat).
Thank you for reading. Be kind. Be you.
