Matching: Floral Crystal French Nails

On average, I do my nails once a week or so (sometimes my manicure survives a rather impressive ten-fourteen days and sometimes it’s gone in five). In any case, since today is the day I decided to change it again, I thought I would show it to you guys. I always knew that this blog would involve nail posts as well as outfits posts since I think of my nails as another aspect of my outfit (albeit a more permanent one that lasts around a week). For special occasions, I might match my nails to my outfit, but usually I consider them as more of a statement piece that provides a little more pizazz to my look (for those who notice these things). I like and use them for the same reason I like and use clothes and fashion, to express my personality and because they make me happy.

This time I went with a fancier manicure than I would usually go for lately that also took a bit longer due to the extra details. On the plus side, it doesn’t actually require colored nail polish so the painting part is easier and less messy. I was meeting with visiting relatives and wanted my nails to look pretty and to match my outfit (one of these rare occasions I talked about above). Here I used floral French decals and black leaf decals and since that just wasn’t enough, I added some crystals to accent. The result is both girly and a little edgy because of the dramatic colors (or maybe that’s just in my head).
